Two more days until my Wicked Hovel is delivered. It’s been too long since I had a home of my own. I still have a lot of work to do to get settled in but I’m looking forward to it. I’m not even certain what’s in my storage at this point. Pretty sure there’s jewelry junk! (laughs)

I also have to get it ferret proofed before Zilla can come home. I’ve already spotted a few hidey-holes she’ll fit into easily. One is a laundry chute that falls into the front storage compartment under the bedroom. I’m sure it would be great ferret fun to discover. I’m pretty sure it will scare the hell out of me when she does. I haven’t looked to see if she can get out into the wild beyond yet. Better to find the escape hatches and seal them off. Zilla will be staying at my mom’s a little longer.

Today I’m off to load up my Jeep as much as possible. I need to get my storage cleared out by the end of the month. Hopefully, that can happen in 5 days. It’s 5×10 stacked to the rafters. The trick is to have sorting space once it gets to the Hovel. Some boxes are marked so that will make it easier by, ummm… not much!

I can’t wait to see my toys again. It’s been too long since we spent any time together. They’re the biggest reason I don’t plan to get into school before fall. It gives me goosey-giggles thinking about it. I love my idiot stuff. I miss it. Soon my darlings… soon.

I’ve spent the last couple of days scanning family pictures. No one will ever appreciate how much freakin’ work this actually is. Maybe that’s why I’ve been shit-bagging the project for so long. It is worth taking a look at occasionally though. I know some are duplicated n a couple albums so I’ll have to sort and resort for months to come. I am in NO way finished at this time either! I’m about half way through one box and have several albums to go through. Then I have my own collection of wickedness to sort through too. So be nice… ’cause you don’t know what kind of privacy laws I could break if you piss me off!

I’ve been on line most of the day looking at info on setting up a stack washer/dryer. I think I have that figured out and will hopefully only need to cut a hole to install the dryer vent. I didn’t look to see what plug was installed to connect the dryer. I’ll have to wait on it until I get back to the dealer.

Then I started looking at how to connect my desktop PC to their wifi. My laptop won’t be a problem. It’s set up for wireless. The desktop is my baby and I want it on line as soon as possible. So, I’ve been reading about adapters and routers. OMGlorious goodness… it is a mess. I am so confused right now. This could be a job for the sleep fairy. Sleep on it a bit and then take a trip to Best Buy and see if the GeekSquad can school me.

Waiting for the check to clear the bank is getting annoying. It isn’t the fault of the bank. It’s that fuggin’ insurance company, I’m certain. Or whatever bank they use. Once all this is settled I’ll take the time to write all the crap I’ve had to put up with while in pain and broke. The end result is that if they had done THE RIGHT THING we’d all be happier. I was never after money. I just wanted some medical help and they jerked me around. In fact, IdiotXpress tried to force me back into a truck even though I continually told them I was injured and didn’t feel safe to drive. Go figure.

So, again… I’m still waiting. I have lots to do while I wait. I’ll probably get more old pictures scanned and put into the gallery this weekend.

Today I added a guestbook that isn’t too bad to operate. I set it up and tried to add some smiley faces to it but it doesn’t work. Maybe I’ll spend time later trying to figure it out. Or not. Doesn’t matter. The guestbook is up and most of the smileys work anyway.
I have a headache. Blah…

I moved my entire site to a new host and it feels like I changed countries! The “work” isn’t actually as difficult as I’m making it seem, I’m sure. Except that I’d never done anything like this before so it was a bit over whelming at times. In all, I’m pretty happy with the end result.

I have absolutely no use for a blog. I’m not in business at this time and I don’t actually have anything to say. I have to be guarded about my current situation. At least until it’s all said and done. Then I will definitely have something to say. Hopefully by that time I’ll have a change of attitude.

I don’t have much use for a web site either. I am enjoying spending time learning about how to make it do the things I think would be fun. Whether anyone else has any interest in it is yet to be determined. I don’t expec anyone will actually care but I’m not here for that anyway. This is my part of the www. My fun to have. Hopefully it won’t be long before I get to start back at some business but if not, I’m Ok with that too.

It is fun learning more about building a web site. I mostly enjoy creating the graphics and decorating it. Today I’ll work on this blog space to see if I can coordinate it with the web pages. If anyone ever says they don’t think their web designer was worth the money, they’d have a fight on their hands!
